After obtaining two grants, the Village of Schaumburg has just launched its Electric Vehicle Pilot Program consisting of three vehicles (two Ford E-Transits for our Buildings Division and one Ford F150 Lightning for Field Services).
We will be installing two dual port charge stations in the future, but for now the vehicles will be charged with the charger that came with the vehicle.
We will be tracking downtime and maintenance costs over the next year to decide if we will pursue additional EVs (when the replacement makes sense).
