Good afternoon unsung heros! The Director of Public Works presented a purchase of a 2024 Peterbilt chassis to the board last night and as a result I have been tasked with a question about recent electrical issues on Peterbilt chassis by a board member that owns a trucking company, and several Peterbilts. Do any of you have Peterbilts in your fleets and if so what are the specifics of the trucks? Have any of you experience electrical system issues with those trucks? Thank you in advance. You guys and girls are awesome as always.
We have 3 348s, back to 2019. Henderson and Monroe builds are holding up as well.
We have not had any Peterbilt related electrical issues. (Knocking on wood)
Paccars with Allisons.
Can't get Ipasses to work through windshields though ( visors)
We have a handful of 348 Peterbilt's that we have gotten since 2020, and just received our first 548 Peterbilt (two more at Bonnell waiting to be built). So far knock on wood, we have only had some issues with headlights on a few trucks that ended up being broken wires by the hood hinge on the drivers side. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions.
