The City of Geneva Public Works Department is accepting applications for a full-time
Fleet Maintenance Supervisor. This position schedules vehicle and equipment repairs
and maintenance for all City-owned vehicles and equipment. Supervises the
maintenance and repair work performed by vehicle Maintenance Technicians. Performs
complex technical repairs. Assists the Superintendent with budget and administrative
work for the Fleet Division. Maintains Safety Lane Certification and serves as the City’s
Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) and on-road Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
trainer.
Successful applicants should possess an Associate’s Degree, Certified Automotive
Fleet Manager (CAFM), 6 years fleet maintenance, Emergency Vehicle Technician
(EVT) Certification desired. Four years increasingly responsible experience with a wide
variety of equipment, including two years of supervisory experience. Full knowledge and
technical expertise in the repair of automobiles, trucks and heavy equipment.
An IL Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A Driver’s license with tanker
endorsement for operating a motor vehicle is required. Automated Services Excellence
(ASE) certifications are desired. Residency preferred within 12 mile radius of the
corporate limits of the City within one year of employment but not required.
The City of Geneva offers an excellent fringe benefit package. Salary range is $72,389
to $105,484.
